How to merge PDF files into one document (free, no upload)
Publicado 2026-11-08
Combining several PDFs into one makes documents easier to email, print and archive. You do not need to install software or upload sensitive files to a stranger's server. Here is the quickest way, plus the mistakes that waste people's time.
Merge PDFs in four steps
- Open the Merge PDF tool and drop all the files you want to combine.
- Drag the thumbnails, or use the arrows, until the files are in the right order.
- Click Merge PDFs. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays sharp and searchable.
- Download the combined document and check the page count.
Mistakes to avoid
- Merging in the wrong order. Check the thumbnails before you click, because reordering afterwards means another round.
- Forgetting about passwords. Protected files cannot be merged until you unlock them.
- Compressing too early. Merge first, then compress once, so you recompress only the final file.
Keeping the result small and tidy
Scanned documents merge into large files. If the result is too big for email, run it through Compress PDF. If you want to number the pages of the combined document, use Add page numbers afterwards so the sequence is continuous.
Is merging online safe?
With most websites your files are uploaded to a server. With Intelli File the merge happens inside your browser, which means the documents never leave your computer or phone. That matters for contracts, invoices and identity documents.
